Spring 2025 Interns: Projects

Green Book sites in Walnut Hills

During the Spring Term, 2025, WHHS worked with 4 interns — one from University of Cincinnati (UC) and three from Xavier University. All were interested in public history and came with strong backgrounds in that field.

Most of their work was transcription of 1940 census pages (click here to read an update on our HistoryForge project), but during the last half of the term, each intern selected a project to research. Here’s a summary of their work, with links to more detailed information.

Thanks to Drs. Amy Whipple and Jeff Gerding (Xavier) and Dr. Tracy Teslow (UC) for their support of this internship!

The UC/CCP Class on African American History at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts also worked with WHHS this past year. A summary of their research into Gaines High School can be found here.
